Corene Debreuil

Corene started her career 30 years ago in rural Manitoba where she was a volunteer ambulance attendant and went on to became a full time Paramedic in Portage la Prairie. She later became Regional Training Officer and then Director of EMS for Central Regional Health Authority

In 2013 she joined the EMS Review Task Force holding many roles including Director of Emergency Medical Services Branch and Executive Director of Health Emergency Management for the Department of Health. When the EMS licensing transition from the EMS Branch to CPMB was complete, Corene was assigned to be the Health Department Lead on the COVID-19 Vaccine Implementation Task Force. Most recently, she was the Executive Director of the Quality and Citizen Experience branch of Manitoba Health, overseeing Health System Quality, Patient Safety, Accreditation and Public Engagement.

Corene has completed the Diploma in Emergency Health Services Management from Dalhousie University and a Masters Degree in Leadership-Healthcare Specialization from Royal Roads University where her capstone research project was focused on occupational mental health injury and resilience in EMS.
